what’s in your purse?

July 27, 2007

this weeks portal theme at blue bazaar was a fun one for me because i’ve just returned from a trip to Sydney & had to think carefully about what i carried in my bag.

Bbbag

Supplies: fontwerks paper, american crafts thickers lettering, zig pen

speaking of the bag, there were lots of favourable comments about it – from a security guard in "the basement shop" at the QVB to a lady in my SIL’s favourite shoe store where i found a fabulous pair of shoes to match! more on them later! ;)

Michelle G: Love your photoography as always Charliegh, your country pics really hit a soft spot with me!!! Thanks for the link to those actions too!!! I think they will come in very handy!! Have a great day!! Hugs Michelle

Pip Prosser: Hi Charleigh, I kind of gave up on checking your blog but so glad that I didn't delete it from my favourites because YOU'RE BACK. Love looking at all of your incredible photos ... particularly like the fence building shots. Hope all is well out your way ... great to read that you have had some rain. Madi looks so grown up ... a big seven year old! Will be a regular lurker now that I know you are back. Take care, Pip

July 5, 2007

madi went to tennis lessons during the holidays & had a blast! her teacher commented that she had a nice swing – a future sharipova perhaps?? only time will tell!

PS. her loose top tooth finally fell out tonite (its been loose for over a month!) expect to see some gappy smile photos soon!

Suzannah: Ahh yes... tennis lessons... brings back many memories of my country childhood! I wonder if city kids do Tennis lessons like us country kids do ? It was just the done thing when I was growing up... do I use them now...nope, but I spent plenty of time in tennis lessons!

Suzannah: Hi Charleigh... where did all these posts come from? I checked here yesterday and I was still seeing Bear.... anyway! Looks like Maddi's birthday went beautifully...the first photo of her is stunning... she looks so much older than 7! The Party looked scrummy... bet she had a great time! Had to laugh about that Pinata though! LOL

we gave bear this fabulous red trike (& trailer) for his 4th birthday & he just loved it!

Bb4thbirthday

his balance & co-ordination is so good, that he made the transition from trike to bike easily – taking off the training wheels within a couple of days. so when his red bike broke recently, he decided to try madi’s big blue bike. its so big that he needs something to help him get on

but once he gets going, there’s no stopping him!

i’m so proud of him!!

Suzannah: when did Bear turn into a boy???? How old is he now??? Wow... a big boy bike... what an achievement! GOOOOOO BEAR!

mimi: i was just thinking of you and came to say Hi ! love the expression on Bear's face in the last photo ! take care Mimi

Alex: Hi, I come to say I love your photography and it is so nice to see Aussie kids enjoying their farm. Have to say I love the last photo and I even love the bluriness (is there such a word??). Bye, Alex

mathletics

July 1, 2007

we’ve been using this great educational site for the past couple of months & i’ve been thrilled with madi’s progress. it has interactive Q & a fast facts area where you compete against the computer or other kids. this photo was captured as madi was on her way to her current highest score of 23:

Monique Wye: Mathletics is the best thing ever! We also bought a home licence and my 9yo just loves it so much and loves meeting other kids online!! :)
