colour or b&w?

what do you think?

there’s no doubt that master B adores his dad. while Michael made some adjustments on the windmill, Bear stayed close by taking photos with his new camera. then as they watched our dog chasing roos in the paddock, i noticed their body language was freakily similar – it was a moment that had to be captured.
& loving it!
we’ve had almost 4 inches of rain since friday & its been the most wonderful kind – gentle & soaking with cool overcast days. perfect for regenerating the grass which needed it so badly. you can already see a tinge of green across the paddocks. its been a great start to the year – lets hope its a sign of things to come!
POTD for 4-1-2009

& today after 2 inches of rain overnite

Monique Wye: WOW! Fabbo about the rain!! Send it down our way please!! :)
… some things stay the same …
we’ve had some welcome rain over the past couple of days, so the ground is quite muddy & my mud monkeys have had such fun playing in it! seeing them out there today, brought back memories of another muddy day …

Madi was just 3 years old back then & i love the look of pure joy on her beautiful face! the joy that comes from simple pleasures … fast forward 5 & a half years & its great to see that both kids still adore the simple pleasure of playing in the mud!

Monique Wye: Oh I love kids & Mud!! :) Great photos and nice to see you getting some rain! YAY.
unlike the lyrics of the carpenters song, rainy days & sundays always make me smile

ali edwards (life artist & inspirational blogger) talked about the one little word concept in few years ago – the idea is to identify a single word that sums up what you want for yourself in the coming year. last year my word was focus.
the word i’ve chosen for 2009 is bloom – to grow, develop, flouish; to be radiant, a picture of health.
is it a coincidence that the petunias have just started blooming again ??

bloom
Debra: Wow Catherine, you have been busy. The rain obviously allows you to do a few jobs indoors (like blogging). Now colour or black & white. I like them both, but they tell really different stories. The B& W reminds me of footage from a country ravaged by war, very barren and destroyed, but the ferocity of the clouds is very evident. The colour tells the story of a property after rain the cranky clouds promising more rain & maybe a little destruction. I prefer the colour because it reminds me of how beautiful it is out your way.
Jodie Greck from evolve: I Love both but I think i love the mood better with the black and white ;-)
Monique Wye: WOW....... fantastic photos! I love them both, however the B&W reminds me of a parched country - seems to tell such a story!
